So what if you can see the darkest side of me?No one will ever change this animal I have become “Stupid rabbit.” Kala grumbled in frustration. Her ears pinned back flat on her head as she tried to once again flush out the tiny little meal that thus far as eluded her at every turn. Air was sucked in and out of her lanky frame, chest lifting and falling with each struggled breath as she watched the little ball of fluff. Why she even went after something with more ears them hide was beyond her but hunger was a formidable opponent so she pressed on. Might as well admit to the fact that she had this little flaw called stubbornness and it has given her trouble more times then helped. For a long moment Kala waited, watching every movement the rabbit took or did not take the fur balls rapid breathing was taken into account and processed as all things were with Zitkala from the fall of the snow that even now started to cover her meal to the sounds of the animals around her. Kala was not strong or fast so what little skills she did have the petite runt used to their full advantage. The game was tedious to her but necessary at the same time each move she made was to herd the little fluff so she could go in for the well. Ripping the root up was not an option all it would gain her was a lost meal or a hurt paw so that curse of action was discarded as quickly as she thought about it.
Wet nose twitched just a little when her tummy gave a low rumble, she had not eaten in days and starvation was forcing her to make mistakes that she normally would not have. Her unkempt fur rippled as muscles flexed and trembled with anticipation. She was so close, she could not afford to loose now, not when her life depended on it, the chances of getting another meal was slim and in her weakened state she was sure to fail an option she hated because even the word left a bitter taste in her mouth. Another deep breath was sucked in, her body vibrated to life with renewed energy as if she was a snake just now striking. The sudden movement alerted the rabbit to dash off to the right and head straight to a small opening under a deeply rooted tree. Kala anticipated the small beasts thought possess so she skillfully shifted her lanky frame to the right of the animal her meal that even now she could taste. As was projected the rabbit changed speed and direction and reluctantly was herded to a flimsy looking patch of branches and in the rabbit went.
Kala slipped, she chided herself for her clumsiness but recovered quickly enough to gain the missed ground when her meal rushed under the patch of twigs. Slight muscles tightened around her as she recoiled knowing if she rushed the rabbit again it would run and she would always be a few paw steps between so like always she used her mind to win. This was maybe her last attempt to get this beast so she took that chance, hanging on to the hope that she would fill her belly for the night. The cold was biting at her making it hard to even concentrate but she pushed on. All at once, Kala let her muscles spring into life, they propelled her up and forward all at the same time. Once again, she cursed her lack of speed and strength. In just a second Kala was flexing her front paws out and down, positioning right over the rabbits shivering body. The landing was harder then she anticipated but she managed to push her full weight into snapping the dry branches that hide the ball of fluff under. A loud SQUEAK was heard and the snapping of teeth when Kala flexed her head around and closed her jaws around the rabbits butt. Good going Kala. She said to herself just as the rabbit shifted and struggled in her hold. If anyone ever told you that the teeth of a rabbit did not hurt they LIED! That little bugger turned around and bit Kala on the cheek sinking its evil teeth into her flesh.
Instinctively the petite she-wolf flung her head back and opened her locked jaws that in turn released the rabbit from her grasp and was thrown to the side. Lucky for her she snapped the animal’s spine. A low guttural growl escaped her lips, she was angry and was showing it in a display with her head down, her ears flat and her lips furled but she calmed down after a little while and moved over to the dead rabbit. She knew she had not really killed it, in fact, she was a poor excuse for a wolf but she would never admit that. Quickly Kala padded over to the rabbit and lowered down to eat, she ate with a ravenous display that was her own true wolf perfection. Kala had a blood lust that she tried to control but it always nipped at her.

what you hide inside I see, there's a scar that's always gonna be. During the middle of the female's attempts to catch the crafty rodent, Dasan had casually made his way into the area, pausing just behind a batch of bushes. In his locked jaws, he held a rabbit very similar to the one on the run, only a bit bigger. The sorry excuse for an animal hung limp with bits of blood trickling down its white coat. As the massive wolf watched with amusement, he lowered his crown closer to the earth, gently resting his kill on the cold ground while never taking his golden orbs off of the female. He was silent as he watched, though every time the female failed in her attempt, an inward laugh would consume his body.
Finally, the female had succeeded in her quest, though she took a nasty bite to the face just before the creature perished. At that, Dasan chuckled audibly, then emerged from within the shadows. "Wow, that surely took long enough. You could quite possibly be the most sorry excuse for a wolf that I have ever encountered...and believe me, I have known my share of idiots. You couldn't even kill the wretched thing without getting bit...what wolf gets bit by a rabbit?" The brute laughed once more, but harder this time, in a rather devilish way. Dasan was as cold as ever, and he had no problem making others feel like complete shit. In fact, you could say it was one of his goals, at least for those who deserved it...and so far, this fae was begging for it.
Dasan watched the female as she tore into the carcass infront of her, and he was actually a bit disgusted at the mess that the female made. He expected his females to be pristine and use proper manners...but this female couldn't care less, which made her even more repulsive, in addition to her rather bony physique. With a sly grin, Dasan chose to tell the fae what was on his mind...maybe he could get a good scare in, if anything. "You know, a frail little being like yourself shouldn't be wondering out here all alone. You never know when some big, bad wolf might cross your path and...I don't know, decide to take advantage of you? Leave you for dead? It is quite common in these parts, and if I could stand to touch your deteriorating excuse for a body, then I would probably do just those things. So, consider it your lucky day - you fail at being a wolf, you got bit on the face by a rabbit, and you're too vile for even a demon, such as me, to want to rape the shit out of you." In reality, the female was not actually that bad, but Dasan enjoyed belittling others. Besides, he had no time for sex now...he had dinner waiting. And why use up even an ounce of strength on something that didn't deserve it?
there's a past in everyone, you can't undo, you can't outrun.

M a j a "It's not proper manners to encourage a woman to speak while her mouth is full." soothed the smooth voice of another from behind the two wolves, how they hadn't noticed her, was beyond the knowledge of the canine itself, for it was no wolf that the voice came from, but rather.. a dog. The dog in itself was a rather large-sized german shepherd, her coat being dark and light, filled with colors of caramel, black, as well as mahogany and gold, causing her to stand out in a lovely fashion. Her ears were flicked forward atop of her skull as she stood where she was, the dead form of a large woodchuck resting at her feet. She wasn't the most beautiful dog, but from the way she stood, it showed that she didn't seem to mind it, her hide decorated in a scar that ran down along her shoulder causing her pelt to be uneven in the spot. Her posture was rather relaxed though, even in the midst of two wolves.
-- From within.. --
Most of this morning I'd been out hunting, bringing things back to my home, before heading out for more. Simply for the fact that it wasn't just myself that I'd been having to feed. Normally, I hunted for only myself, but earlier this morning as I'd been wandering through the city, I'd crossed paths with three welps of mixed breeds of which told me they were hungry when I'd come back into the city with a squirrel in my mouth. Oddly, I took pity upon the mongrels and surrendered them my squirrel, but knowing that a squirrel wasn't enough to feed all three, I'd gone back out into the woods to hunt for some more things. Finally after having caught them three rabbits, I left them be and simply made my way back to the woods to find a meal for myself.
I'd but only just finished catching the woodchuck for myself when I'd seen the female wolf darting after her rabbit, watching as she got bitten, as well as noticing the presence of the male that made himself known in a laughing manner. Normally, it was almost like a silent rule that wolves and dogs stayed away from each other, but having known a few wolves as my companions in my many travels, I held no fear for them, despite the fact that this male before me was rather large in size and brawny looking too. But alas, if I could be shot by a gun, hit by cars, and face the bombs that I'd faced, there was no kind of pain that this brute before me could ever deal me that would compare.
After living how I had lived before, life on the streets seemed rather easy. I mean, yeah, it took a little while to get used to hunting for myself, but that was about it. Now a fine huntress, there was nothing I couldn't face, let alone the two wolves before me. "Everyone has their flaws and perfections.."
soothed my voice as I lifted my woodchuck only to pad even closer to the two wolves, setting it down alongside of the black female in offering if she wanted it. It seemed she'd need it more than I ever would.. I then looked back upon the brute that was nearby, moving to sit about half way in between both wolves, though a little closer to the female. "Some are just better at hiding them than others." I told him in a rather casual and nonchalant tone. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?No one will ever change this animal I have become Kala smelled them both before they had even shown themselves, a skill she leaned because of the lack of other skills so to speak. Their scent was not one she enjoyed, namely before it meant trouble, aggression and much more then that. Insistently she knew to play all of this off, to give each one the impression that while she looked weak she was, let them think she was without a skill, let them thing she was a pathetic excuse for a wolf. She was not strong but she had won her fair share of battles in the past and yet she enjoyed that art of manipulation so much so that it was like a sweet melody to a songbird. Kala had dug into her food, the desire to feast and gain strength was more appealing then the foolishness of showing manners. Kala eat the rest of the rabbit with a few single gulps then turned her small head to the male and gave him her full attention. “I will not make any excuses for myself brute nor so do I think I owe you any for that matter. I am what I am and I do not hide from myself like a frightened male might. I am with flaws and I was not blessed with bulk or sleek slenderness that much is true so stop wasting my time and your own but insulting me with taunts that I have already heard.” Kala licked her lips, clearing any blood off her face just as the female came into view but she kept her stunning red eyes on the male wolf. “Try something more original for a change will you or does strength still lack the brains? Leave me for dead? HA, I will hardly die wolf because like a wolf, I am skilled at survival and I do what I must. Starve for a week and a half and then tell me what you might eat and how you might eat.” She scoffed at him then looked to the female.
“I have no need of charity dog. Thank you kindly but I am not a charity case I may be small but I will give anyone one hell of a fight.” Her muscles tightened, she was getting agitated and nervous but she kept herself calm, not even a tremble of fur or a lift of hackles would betray her, she had become accomplished at keeping her feelings and thoughts from showing. While she was grateful for the she-dog being here, she would not show weakness, not when this arrant male was so nearby not now and not ever. She was better then that and she would never back down. Her head lifted but she kept her posture neutral not submitting or aggressive in the hopes of not pissing the male off or the female for that matter. “Manners take their leave in the face of starvation any wolf or dog should know that or are you so sheltered brute?” She was softly spoken, never giving way to insult but offering an innocent indifferent tone as not to upset him. “I have many flaws dog but I do not wish to hide what I am, to do so would be a far greater weakness because then your enemies can exploit such a weakness.” She licked her lips again clearing the last of the rabbit away, the meal was wonderful, not enough to end the torment of hunger her but enough to stop off the hunger for a few days if that. She looked around not for a way out but for anything to use at her disposal, already she assessed she would not be able to over power the male, he was too much stronger then she was but at closer inspection she noticed she might be able to out maneuver him and force him to show a weakness or at the very least get away to fight another day then again already she knew she would stand her ground, it was the stubborn side in her that she hated most. Already that little bit of rabbit she did eat was starting to make her feel stronger.
