Hello! And welcome to Crossing Boundaries! This is an intermediate-advanced wolf and dog RP and is rated PG13. All of the rules on this page need to be read, and within the rules there is a password for the "Character Registration" board, where you will have to post your character's bio. I know there are a lot of rules, but it will be easier to just read them now and get it over with than to risk getting in trouble! So if you have any questions, feel free to contact the ADMIN account!
Characters
When you register on Crossing Boundaries, please register as your character's name. Once you have created your account, go into your profile and put your display name in ALL CAPS. Please do not use any special characters or anything like that, and change your profile gender so that it is the gender of your character.
At this point, you may create as many characters as you want, as long as you keep them active. However, your newest character must have at least 5 IC posts before you can create another character. Also, chose your characters wisely - you must actively play a character for 2 months before you can get rid of it! (Unless it is for some plot...) Also, all new characters must be at least one year old to join the board...no lost or abandoned pups and such.
Characters should stick to dog and wolf breeds, but you can have hybrids with admin permission. Since this is a semi-realistic RP, there will be no odd colors, jewelry, etc and absolutely no magic powers.
As soon as your character bio is accepted, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to post on the Member Reference thread on the 'Logs & Plots' board. This thread is to keep characters and their accounts organized, so everyone knows who plays what canines. If your character joins or leaves a pack/gang, be sure to make an update post so we can move them around on the Member Reference.
We now have a new addition to the characters you are able to create. Since this new version of CB has a 'rebuilt' Chimera City, we are allowing members to create people characters. For the most part, the people in the city will be implied, and you may just simply post their words/actions in your canines' posts. But, if you decide to go more in depth with a human character, you may ask for permission in order to make one.
Posts
First of all, NO POWER PLAYING! Second, NO POWER PLAYING! Are we clear? This means no acting as if your player is invincible AND no calling other people's moves/defenses/etc.
Posts should be AT LEAST 300 words, but more is preferred. If you cannot post this amount at least 95% of the time, then this is not the RP for you. Also, please remember that it is QUALITY not QUANTITY, so this is the bare minimum for length, and it needs to be extremely well written with as much detail as possible and as few spelling/grammatical errors as possible.
Characters on the board are allowed to post in more than one place at one time, just make sure you don't go too crazy with it.
The secret word is "bagheera," the name of my kitty. Cussing is ok on this board, but only in small quantities. OOC posts should try to refrain from any cussing if possible, there is no reason we need to use language like that in OOC posts. Also, please keep OOC and IC arguments separate...just because someone's character hates your character doesn't mean that the person hates you.
I don't know where else to put this, so its going here since it has to do with how your posts look lol. Please keep signature images no larger than 500px wide and 250px tall. If you have anything written, sigs can be a bit taller, but not much. If you want to use a taller picture, use it as a post header/footer...and please keep other images below 500px as well, we don't want our boards stretched.
Finally, everyone needs to try to post AT LEAST once a week, preferably much more...but if you are unable to do this, like if you are going out of town/busy/etc, please let us know on the "Introductions & Absence" board
