Mating
Our biggest mating rule is that your character must have at least 15 IC posts before they can mate. This is to prevent people from creating a character and mating all in the same day. Also, please do not create characters for the soul purpose of mating, that is not what this board is about. But, there is no limit to how long your character has to know another in order to mate...but again, please don't have your character go and get every female on the site pregnant, and don't make a female that goes around begging for sex.Pups
You are only able to have one formal mate, though you can cheat on this mate. Your character can also rape another, but make sure you get permission from the player first. If this happens, or you are graphic in any other way with your posts, please put an *M* or Mature or something in the thread title to warn people.Wolves - Formal mates need to be in the same pack, and if you are not an alpha...be sure to get permission. Some alphas do not allow other wolves in their pack to mate, so its better to ask than to get in trouble with them.Other than that, please pay attention to the weather forecasts. Dogs and wolves tend to only reproduce when it is breeding season, but no matter what time of year your character breeds, be sure to post on the "Love is in the Air" board...you never know when there might be a surprise.
Dogs - Dogs can mate with whatever dogs they want, regardless of the breed. But, if your dog is in a gang, the same rules as for wolf packs apply.
Hybrids - If you want a wolf and a dog to breed together, you do not need admin permission, just realize that the number of pups you would normally have will be cut in half.
You do not have to be "mates" to have pups, but you have to have mated. Once you have bred, please post a new topic on the "Love is in the Air" board. Admins will decide how many pups you will have (if you conceived) and what gender they will be. The admins will answer your breeding form on "The Stork Has Arrived" board, where the parents of the pups will then be able to pick out names, pictures, and players for the puppies. If you choose to adopt a puppy, be sure that you can keep this puppy active!
Finally, the life stages of the pups may vary. As soon as they are born (pretty much) all the pups are able to speak, but depending on how active the pups are, admins will determine when they grow into adults.
